New Elijah Music Video — “Extension”
We’re excited to share another new visual presentation from Elijah Creed with the release of his latest music video, “Extension.” This project gave us an opportunity to pair a meaningful relationship message with some of the most culturally rich and visually captivating storytelling we’ve explored thus far.
At the heart of “Extension” is the importance of entering relationships with a strong sense of self. The song examines the difference between healthy love and emotional dependence, reminding listeners that a partner can enhance your life without becoming responsible for your identity, stability, or sense of purpose. It’s a celebration of self-ownership and the kind of love that complements two individuals rather than requiring one person to complete the other.
That philosophy became the foundation for the music video’s storyline.
Some of the most memorable imagery captures the quieter side of life—the land, natural surroundings, communal settings, traditional influences, and an appreciation for experiences that don’t depend upon material excess. These moments bring another dimension to the record, emphasizing the importance of being grounded in your own values, surroundings, and sense of direction.
From a production standpoint, we were extremely pleased with how everything came together. The South African landscapes, cultural elements, modern environments, character interactions, and cinematic imagery gave the project a visual identity unlike anything we’ve previously created for Elijah. There were numerous moments throughout the production where the imagery seemed capable of communicating the message before a single lyric even needed to explain it.
The visuals were captivating, and seeing all of those individual pieces finally come together during the editing process was incredibly rewarding. What began as an idea about emotional independence gradually evolved into a much broader visual statement about self-ownership, culture, connection, inner peace, and healthy companionship. The final results were spectacular, and we’re proud of how effectively the imagery complements the spirit of the record.
Projects like “Extension” also continue to define what we want Elijah Creed’s visual catalog to represent. The goal isn’t simply to place an artist in front of a camera and create attractive imagery around a song. Whenever possible, we want the visuals to say something. We want viewers to follow a journey, recognize themselves somewhere within it, and leave with something worth thinking about after the music stops.
Hopefully, “Extension” encourages viewers to consider what they bring into their own relationships. Loving another person deeply and maintaining your individuality do not have to contradict one another. There is something powerful about two people choosing each other not because either person is incomplete, but because what they build together complements the lives they have already learned to value.
