Recent Video Shoot!

Blog Entry — March 28, 2026

The video session for E-Lye Creed’s latest single, “Last Version of Me,” came together in a way that genuinely exceeded expectations. From the initial setup to the final shots, everything aligned with a strong sense of purpose and creative clarity. The energy on set was focused, collaborative, and intentional—exactly what’s needed to bring a concept like this to life.

One of the more demanding aspects of this project, however, began well before the cameras started rolling. Developing the storyboard proved to be a challenge in itself. The concept required navigating three distinct story arcs—each representing different phases of the subject’s journey—and compressing them into one cohesive and digestible narrative. Balancing those timelines without losing emotional continuity or clarity required precision. Every scene had to serve a purpose, every transition needed to feel earned, and the pacing had to allow the audience to follow the transformation without confusion.

Despite that complexity, it became one of the most fulfilling parts of the process. Bringing those arcs together allowed us to visually depict a powerful progression—from moments of having no direction and making poor decisions, to ultimately arriving at a place of growth, awareness, and self-accountability. The contrast between the “before” and “after” phases wasn’t just visual—it carried emotional weight. It told a story that many people can relate to on a personal level.

My hope is that viewers not only recognize that journey but feel inspired by it. There’s a universal message embedded in this piece about acknowledging where we’ve been without allowing it to define where we’re going. More importantly, it touches on the idea of forgiving our past selves—understanding that growth often comes from missteps, and that evolution requires both reflection and grace.

What stood out most to me during production was the editing process. That’s where everything truly started to breathe. Seeing the raw footage evolve into a cohesive visual narrative was a rewarding experience. Each cut, transition, and sequence added another layer of depth, reinforcing the emotional core behind the record. It became more than just a video—it felt like a visual extension of growth, reflection, and transformation.

A particular highlight within post-production was the mirror reflection sequence. I genuinely enjoyed leveraging AI technology to enhance this moment during the editing process. It allowed us to create a more seamless and symbolic interaction between the present self and the past version being confronted. What would traditionally require complex practical effects or extensive manual compositing was achieved with greater efficiency and creative flexibility. The end result elevated the concept, making the reflection feel more intentional and psychologically immersive rather than just visually interesting.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the entire team for their dedication and hard work. From the camera operators and lighting crew to production staff and creative direction—everyone played a critical role in shaping this project. The professionalism and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

We’re now approaching the final stages, and I’m genuinely excited for what’s ahead. I can’t wait for viewers to experience the finished piece and connect with the message behind “Last Version of Me.” This is one of those projects that stays with you—and I’m proud of what we’ve built together.

More than anything, this video stands as a reminder that evolution is always possible. No matter the starting point, there is always an opportunity to grow into a better version of yourself.
